Signs & Smiles was founded with the mission of using American Sign Language to enhance communication for all children.
Lifetime of Benefits… By introducing signs with babies, parents are establishing the foundation for a lifetime of successful communication. Sign Language allows infants and toddlers to communicate long before they possess the fine motor skills necessary for speech. Mary Buckley will lead you and your baby to learn to use sign language to express his desires, needs, and feelings about the world around him. Research by the National Insitute of Health demonstates signing babies and toddlers have larger vocabularies than nonsigning peers by age 3, test higher than nonsigners in IQ tests by age 9 and do better in language tasks well beyond their baby/toddler years.
